The 2022 Narooma Boats Afloat Festival has come and gone and was an amazing event for those who love all things to do with traditional boating. Several members from the Canberra Traditional Boating Squadron made the trek down the mountain with their own boats to add to what was a rather large armada of classic boats.
The Friday night BBQ at one of the heritage boat sheds was a fantastic opportunity to meet & greet one another. It was clear that there was considerable post-covid enthusiasm for getting together and having a wonderful event. The Saturday weather couldn't be more perfect! See below for a large number of great photos of wonderful boats on the beautiful waters at Narooma. Unfortunately, Sunday was a wash-out. Incredible storms caused the cancellation of the traditional Grand Parade out to the bar and back.
The featured image above captures the jaw droppingly amazing steam boat I K Brunel which won the Malcolm McKay best boat award for 2022. However as you can see from the images below there were no shortages of fantastic traditional water boats to be seen.
